About MCIL
Merseyside Coalition of Inclusive Living (MCIL) is a local organisation controlled by Disabled People. It exists to promote the social inclusion of and equality of opportunity for disabled people across Merseyside, by working in Partnership with Support and Advice for Independent Living (SAIL) and Merseyside Inform (MI).
Aims
- To promote the social model of disability, social inclusion, Civil and Human Rights through all our activities.
- To promote equality for disabled people in all sectors of society through all our activities.
- To develop and manage projects which enhance the quality of life and inclusion of disabled people.
- To develop the capacity of disabled people to be independent and to self organise.
- To work in partnership with organisations which are controlled by disabled people.
- To communicate with disability organisations which share common philosophies of inclusion and equality.
- To collaborate with other organisations of socially excluded, or minority groups, which have common philosophies of inclusion and equality.
We Provide
- A free information and advice service to disabled people, their families and other agencies.
- Volunteering opportunities at Liverpool City Council day services
- Disability Equality Action Learning
- Direct Payments peer mentoring and guidance with recruiting personal assistants
- Representation at and or on public meeting across statutory and other voluntary organisations/groups
- A consultative body for policy and planning issues of concern to disabled people.

Join MCIL Membership of MCIL is free and comes with the benefits of a free newsletter and the right to Vote at AGMs and Open Meetings.
Complete the MCIL monitoring form Completing our monitoring form will enable us to better inform our funders of the need for the services we provide and guarantee the continuation of those services.
